Using this site
ProRata Calculate is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use: checking pay figures, leave entitlement, rent and part-period amounts, and learning how pro rata calculations work. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Accuracy and reliance
We take care to keep the arithmetic correct and the rates current, and every page states the tax year and review date its figures rely on. Nevertheless, results are estimates produced from the figures you enter and the assumptions stated on each page. Contracts differ, payroll systems differ, and individual circumstances — pension arrangements, student loans, benefits in kind, multiple employments — can all change an outcome. You should not make an employment, tenancy or financial decision solely on the basis of a figure from this site, and you should verify important figures against your contract, your payslip, your employer’s payroll team or HMRC’s official services. Intellectual property
The text, design and code of this site belong to ProRata Calculate unless stated otherwise. You may print or save pages and calculation results for your own use — including for showing your working to an employer, which is strongly encouraged — and you may link to any page. You may not republish substantial parts of the site’s written content as your own, scrape it in bulk, or use its name or branding in a way that suggests endorsement.
Availability and changes
We may update pages, correct figures, change rates when official rates change, or withdraw the site, without notice.
