Email us at [email protected] — one inbox, read by the person who maintains the site. Corrections, wrong figures and suggestions are all welcome.

The fastest way to get a useful reply

Reporting a wrong figure. Tell us the page, the figures you typed, the result you expected and the result the site gave (or the payslip figure you were comparing against). With those four things we can reproduce a problem immediately; without them we will have to ask, which slows us both down. Screenshots of the calculator with your inputs visible are ideal — but please crop out anything personal beyond the numbers themselves.

Suggesting a page or a correction. Say what question you were trying to answer when you arrived. New pages on this site start life as unanswered reader questions, and wording corrections from people who read a guide at the moment it mattered — mid-application, mid-dispute — are worth more than any amount of our own proofreading.

Privacy questions. The honest summary is on the privacy policy page: calculations happen in your browser and nothing you type reaches us. If you want to know anything beyond that summary, ask and we will answer specifically.

What email cannot do

We cannot advise on your individual tax position, interpret your contract, mediate with your employer or calculate figures from documents you send us — and you should not email payslips, contracts or National Insurance numbers to any website, including this one. For personal advice, the free and authoritative routes are: HMRC for tax and National Insurance queries, Acas for workplace rights and disputes (including free early conciliation), Citizens Advice for a free check of your situation, and GOV.UK for the official holiday and pay calculators. If your question is really “is this payslip right?”, those services can see your full circumstances — we deliberately cannot, and the site is built so that we never need to.

Replies normally arrive within a few working days. The inbox is not monitored for urgent matters, and nothing about pay disputes is ever urgent in the email sense — but do act promptly with your employer, because correction windows in payroll are real even when email ones are not.
