Terms of Use

By using this website you accept these terms. They are written in plain English and kept as short as the subject allows.

The service

Last updated: 25 October 2026.

QuickProRata provides free online calculators and guides about pro rata salary, holiday entitlement and term-time pay in the United Kingdom. The site is provided for general information and personal use. There is no account, no subscription and no charge. By using the site, you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Accuracy

We take care to keep the formulas, rates and explanations on this site correct, and every calculator shows its working so you can follow the arithmetic yourself. Even so, we cannot guarantee that a result is correct for your individual circumstances. Employment contracts vary, employers define the full-time week in different ways, and tax rates change from year to year. Your contract, any collective agreement that applies to you, and your employer's policies take priority over any figure this site produces.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, tax, legal or employment advice, and using the calculators does not create any kind of adviser relationship between you and us. For decisions that matter — accepting a job offer, challenging a payslip, disputing holiday entitlement — seek advice from a qualified professional, or from a free service such as ACAS or Citizens Advice. Our Disclaimer explains the limits of the figures in more detail.

Acceptable use and our content

You may use the calculators as often as you like, for personal or work purposes, and you may link to any page on this site — links are welcome and need no permission.

The text, worked examples and design of this site belong to us. You are welcome to quote short extracts — a definition, or a worked example — provided you credit QuickProRata and link back to the page you took it from. Please do not copy whole pages, scrape the site at a rate that interferes with its operation, present our content as your own professional advice, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

Liability

The site is provided as it is, and we work to keep it available and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be online or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a figure produced by this site, from errors in the content, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law says it cannot be excluded. Always verify an important calculation with your employer's payroll department before acting on it.

Changes to these terms

We may update the site and these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will draw attention to it on this page rather than relying on the date alone.
